The Grand Opening – 16th February 2019

Warmingham Village Hall threw open its doors on Saturday for the official opening of the new Hall.
Simon Moss, Village Hall Committee Chairman, said:
‘The new hall has taken five years to achieve. I pay tribute to the Lottery Community Fund, WREN and all of the local community who have been involved with fund-raising events to make this possible. Our Architect, Bower-Edleston, and contractor, Sneyd, have given us a building to be proud of.’
The opening involved ribbon-cutting by Nora Machin and Sophia Grace Treanor, villagers representing the oldest and youngest in the community reminding us that use of the Hall is intended for young and old alike Attendees were treated to a selection of tasty treats provided by Beech Tree Catering and a welcome glass of refreshment.
The new facility has a large underfloor-heated main hall catering for occasions involving up to 150 people. There is also a smaller smart-networked meeting room with conference facilities suitable for smaller group meetings up to twenty persons.
There is a king-sized fully-equipped kitchen which was funded from a portion of the £50,000 grant from WREN’s FCC Community Action Fund and a large, furnished foyer for coffee-mornings/drop-in chats/casual group get-togethers. The hall has already taken a number of bookings and is looking forward to enquiries from potential users.
